Working with Sarah was one of the best things I have ever done. Working through the tenants of intuitive eating is a difficult process, often times with a two steps forward, one step back cadence, but I emphatically recommend working with Sarah while going through this process. She is patient and kind while also being firm and encouraging that food freedom is possible, and made easier by surrounding yourself with people and influences that support you.Not only have I found food freedom (and have maintained it 18 months later) but I have been set up with a team of medical professionals (through Sarah’s recommendation) that support the HAES (health at every size) framework and have supported me and addressed any issues I may have without immediately suggesting “well you just need to lose weight”.Lastly, before working with Sarah I always said “I will be able to do that when I lose x amount of pounds, but I should never try now”. I’m now so empowered that I started hiking in national parks, doing outdoor exercise classes (not in the back row!) and had the courage to ride a bike for the first time in 20 years!I may not be the smallest size I have ever been, but my life is certainly more full than I ever imagined.
